Ovsanna Shekoyan
Director and screenwriter. Born in Yerevan, she graduated from the Department of Painting at the State Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia. Her debut short film, Twist (2020), had its world premiere at the 26th Sarajevo FF in the short film competition programme. Her second short film, Handstand (2021), received the Gennadi Melkonyan Special Award at the 18th Golden Apricot Yerevan IFF, as well as the Second Prize at the International Short FF of Cyprus. The film was also selected for the competition programmes of the IndieLisboa International FF, Zagreb FF, and other prestigious international festivals. Ovsanna Shekoyan is an alumna of Talents Sarajevo and Berlinale Talents.
