A film in time of football
As Euro-2024 is entering its dramatic final phase, many people are no doubt torn between watching football and seeing a GAIFF film. But do not fear, for on July 10 at 21:30 the 2006 classic Offside by legendary filmmaker Jafar Panahi will be screened at the Grand Hall of House of Cinema. And who knows? Maybe all who go to the screening will get a little bonus surprise as well. So is it even a choice?

Restored Catastrophe
Besides granting the audience a chance to encounter weird and freaky foreign cinema, the "Twisted Apricot" program also shows some local gems. Catastrophe by Dmitry Kesyants, first screened in 1993, is one of Armenian cinema’s forgotten small masterpieces, which is starting to be rediscovered in recent years. Twisted Apricot will give the restored version of the film a new home on 11-7 at 22:30 at House of Cinema H. Malyan Hall.

Cine-Detox
Also feel that burning desire to talk about everything you’ve seen, witnessed, encountered and experienced while at the festival? Naturally, there is a lot to discuss at GAIFF — from the notable films and even bigger guests. If you want to talk and discuss movies and discuss like-minded film friends, don’t miss the opportunity to go to Cine-Detox every day after midnight at "Ilik" cafe (62 Hanrapetutyan Street, entrance from Vardanants Street).

The best of the best
Yasha and Leonid Brezhnev by Edgar Baghdasaryan, which won the most number of awards at the recent Armenian Film Academy ceremony, is having its Yerevan Premiere. Best Film, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography and Best Actor. You can evaluate the choice of the Academy members on July 10th at 19:30 in the House of Cinema Grand Hall.
