This film tells the story of Biblical mountain Ararat beginning from the day the Noah’s Arch embarked on till the days of Fridrikh Parrot and Khachatur Abovyan. The last part of the film is dedicated to the Armenian climbers, in particular to the expedition realized by a group of pilgrims on August 10, 2007. Shootings that took place during this expedition are included in the film.
| Melkonyan, Ashot  Ashot Melkonyan (born 1961, Akhalkalak, Georgia)
Graduated from Yerevan State University, Department of History. He has a PhD in historical sciences and is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, Republic of Armenia. Dr. Melkonyan is an auther of 11 books, 2 films and over 150 scientific articles. Since 2002 he has been the head of the Institute of History, NAS.
