This year Sergei Loznitsa presents his first feature film My Joy at the 7th GOLDEN APRICOT Festival. The famous Iranian actress Mahaya Petrosyan and director Amir Toodeh Roosta present their first joint work, A Beautiful Snowy Day, in the Armenian Panorama National Competition of the 7th GOLDEN APRICOT IFF. “The film was made based on a story of an Iranian writer, which I have read 15 years ago and was much impressed. News| Sep 1, 2010 | THE NILSSON AWARD FOR HARUTYUN KHACHATRYAN
Filmmakers Alliance is pleased to announce that starting in 2010, we have invited Rob Nilsson to curate the film award which bears his name.
The inaugural recipient in 2008, Nilsson will select a filmmaker who, in his judgment, opens up new territory, or transforms the old, with unique artistry and an eye for “the way things seem to be.” The award will be given annually at VisionFest - presented by Filmmakers Alliance in August at the Directors Guild of America.
