At the emergency unit of a hospital a middle-aged woman is informed about the reasons for her terrible headache. After many hours of patient waiting, it is now in the middle of the night. She picks up a phone to call her husband, and we listen to the Voice of Silence.

Bergdahl, Gunnar

Gunnar Bergdahl (born 1951)
A film programmer and a journalist by trade, founded the cinema magazine “Filmkonst” in 1989. Since 1994 he is the director of the Gothenburg Film Festival. He transferred his passion for film from in front of the screen to behind the camera. His filmography consists of The Voice of Bergman (1997); The Voice of Ljudmila; Ingmar Bergman: Intermezzo (2002) and the short, The Voice of Silence (2002).
