The film tells about four men in search of soldiers missing in action. What pulls long-time friends of 30 years to long-forgotten battle fields? To answer this question one would have to find the meaning of life. With a sincere emotional touch the film is follows the return of the unknown soldier to his fatherland after more than half a century.

From 1996 to 2000, he studied at the Latvian Academy of Culture, and graduated as Bachelor of Art with a speciality in TV directing. Then he attended script and directing courses in Denmark, the USA and Sweden. From 1989 to 1999, he worked at the Riga Film Studio, working on different TV programs, as film director and cameraman at the film production companies in Kaupo, Rija and Forma. Since 2000, he is the founder of the independent production company Subjectiv Filma
