In 1928 Kochar's Painting in Space (Les Pentures dans l`espace de Kotchar) exhibition was opened in Van Leer Gallery, Paris. The 15 works presented by Kochar, an outstanding Armenian artist and sculptor, were new plastic and artistic means of expression which involved time as an additional fourth dimension. The film focuses on one of the masterpieces of Kochar’s Painting in Space of 1927. This unique art piece was brought to Armenia from Minotaure Gallery, Paris in May 2011 by High Art Centre. Before, it was in the private collection of French famous collectioner Patrice Trigano.

Ruben Kochar (born 1953, Yerevan, Armenia)
He graduated from the Film Directing Department of the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography and The Advanced Courses of Cinematography and Television in Moscow. He has directed numerous films - documentaries, shorts, musicals, film ballets, and features. His Quartet won the Grand Prix of Minsk FF (Belarus, 1985), the film ballet Lilit was awarded the Medal of Arsenal IFF (Latvia, 1988). Herostratus by Ruben Kochar won the President Award in Ajijik IFF in 2001 in Mexico. In 1992 Ruben Kochar founded AITN (Armenian International Television Network) in the USA. and has been producing Arpi television daily program airing in Los Angeles since 1992. In 2002 he founded Kochar Cultural Foundation. Ruben Kochar also writes and pains. He is the author of screenplays and short novels. He started painting influenced by his father, famous artist and sculptor Yervand Kochar.
