SYNOPSIS

The film is dedicated to Andrei Tarkovsky. In 1965, the world famous filmmaker visited Armenia. A few scenes of his visit to Geghard Monsatery were accidentally filmed. This unique footage enabled to link the past and present with new filming bridging the “gaps” of the cinema.

They both graduated from the Film Directing Department of Armenian Yerevan Pedagogical Institute. In 1981–1986 worked at Hayfilm State Studio as director assistants, since 1987 – as film-directors and scriptwriters. In 1990 they established AYSOR after AYSOR-PLUS FILM PRODUCTIONS, where made four feature and eleven short fiction films. The films have been shown and awarded in several international film festivals, including those in Berlin (Special mention), Moscow, Ekaterinbourgh (Special prize), Montreal, Rotterdam (Special prize), Neon (Special mention), Edinburgh, Taormina, Odense, Barselona, and etc.
