SYNOPSIS

A World Without Men is a documentary about Armenian village of Dzoragyugh, inhabited mostly by women because most of the male population of the village has migrated abroad to search for work. Film shows how 3 different women live their lives while their husbands are away.

Born 1987, Lithuania) Monika graduated from the Institute of Journalism in Lithuania and has a Masters in Documentary by practice at Royal Holloway, London. She works now as a TV reporter in Lithuania and independent documentary filmmaker. Documentary A World without Men was her film for dissertation. It also has been screened in Göttingen International Ethnographic FF, Ethnographic FF in Slovenia.
