SYNOPSIS
Philosophers of the Road is about numerous taxi drivers who tell about their and our lives, about the future. People who see everything through the car’s front window. Shot with a cell phone the film lets the viewer to become a passenger and listen to the troubles and stories of the driver. They are our philosophers, people whose world outlook, analysis of life and events are not inferior to the ones of famous philosophers. At the same time next to the philosopher's road is shown another life and different heroes. The screen serves everything that an Armenian can meet in Yerevan, in Armenia and elsewhere. The audience will meet well known persons in Armenian villages and outside Armenia. The film reveals facts about how people live and think in a country where a lot is impossible to understand – from scratched asphalt to rising prices for gas, from a street fight to a kindergarden show…

Born 1985, Yerevan, Armenia. In 2006, entered Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinema, Department of Feature Filmmaking. Loadnig My Life was his graduation short film in 2011. It was presented in Golden Apricot IFF 2011 Armenian Panorama Competition Programme and won three awards. In 2013, Harutyun Shatyan’s short film Marathon also took part in Golden Apricot IFF Armenian Panorama.
