The film conflict is centered on vicissitudes in which two young people are overwhelmed with their desire and love, despite the interventions of the rich aunt who has an intention to marry his niece to a "decent" candidate.

Director, actor and playwright, author of the first Bulgarian film Bulgaria is Gallant and the first Bulgarian-speaking musical film The Slaves' Revolt. In 1905-07 he was a student trainee in “Tears and Laughter” Theatre and the National Theatre. Graduated from the Theater School "Otto" in Vienna. In 1921, together with his wife Zhana Gendova he created the Sofia Traveling Theatre. Creator of the first Bulgarian film production company Yantra Film. Gendov initiated the establishment of the first Union of Actors in Bulgaria (1919-1920), Union of filmmakers in Bulgaria (1931) and the Museum of Bulgarian Cinematography (1948).
