At the Central Cemetery in a small Romanian town, there are four gravediggers on duty.They are part of a Roma (gypsy) community that lives just outside the cemetery fence.They're digging graves and attending funerals, no matter what. They have a Romanian boss with whom they don't get along so well and sometimes make contact with relatives, sober or not, of the one who passed away.

Ioana Țurcan received a BA in Image for Film and Television and a MA in Documentary Filmmaking from the Babeș-Bolyai University. She is currently in her second year in the MFA Film Program at the College of Visual and Performing Arts, Syracuse University, NY as a Fulbright Alumna, an award she received for her studies in USA. Her work has been exhibited at film festivals around the world: Poland, Czech Republic, Switzerland, India, Sudan, Romania and USA, including Cannes Short Film Corner and Visions du Réel and received a nomination at the Romanian Academy Awards. She works primarily in film as well as video art, installation and performance.
