SYNOPSIS

Echoes of Survival is an experimental documentary series about the ambiguity of what it means to be an Armenian living in America today. In April 2015, during the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the author found myself drawn to the idea of how certain artists around the United States view themselves as Armenian, and how their identities shape their work. This project is an attempt to better understand who we are today, and how the culture has survived through these artists and their work.
