C2C market

As a part of GAIFF Pro, Cross-Border Regional Co-production Market (C2C) is an international platform designed for emerging filmmakers of the Lesser Caucasus Region - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey and Iran. C2C aims to help filmmakers develop their first or second feature film projects, and to pitch them to accredited international film industry professionals, boosting and establishing co-productions across borders.

C2C consists of three main elements:

C2C WORK-IN-PROGRESS C2C PROJECT MARKET C2C SHOWCASE

C2c Feature Film Project Market

gives first and second time directors a chance to meet and present their feature-length film projects to international producers, financiers, festival programmers, distributors, sales agents, and investors accredited by the Festival. Projects are carefully selected by an independent commission of film industry professionals. The Project Market is a three day event. During the first two days, participating filmmakers will meet one-on-one with international producers and investors to pitch their projects for co-production. The final day of the market will consist of a round table discussion with the C2C Film Showcase filmmakers, as well as the announcement of the final results. A full catalogue of the Market’s participating projects and international industry professionals will be sent out in advance to allow participants to book appointments prior to the event. Participation of co-producers from all countries is encouraged, provided the director of the project is from one of the countries in the Lesser Caucasus region.

The deadlines and details relating to eligibility criteria can be found here.

C2C Work-in-Progress Market

hosts feature-length films in the work-in-progress stage from first or second time directors from the Lesser Caucasus region. The selected 10 participants will present their films to international producers, financiers, festival programmers, distributors, sales agents, and potential exhibitors accredited by the festival.

The Work-In-Progress market is a two day event consisting of presentations of participating films in their current stage of post-production. A full catalogue of the Market’s participating projects and international industry professionals will be sent out in advance to allow participants to book appointments prior to the event. Some projects will be granted an opportunity to screen a full cut of the film to an audience at a dedicated screening. Participation of co-producers from all countries is encouraged, provided the director of the project is from one of the countries in the Lesser Caucasus region.

C2C Film Showcase

arranges screenings of up to 10 selected films that have previously partaken in development activities within GAIFF, and participated in film festivals around the world. In addition to the screenings, the filmmakers will connect with the C2C platform through case studies, round table talks, and panel discussions. This year the Showcase will be held during the GAIFF festival dates, July 9 - 15. The authors of the films will be present to meet and talk with the audience after the screenings.
