Vahan Khachatryan
Born in Yerevan, Armenia, Vahan Khachatryan studied at the State Engineering University of Armenia (2008–2012). Then he pursued a master's degree at the Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinema and attended Roman Balayan’s Advanced Directing Course (both 2012–2014). In 2020, he directed the documentary short About Revolution, which explores the transformative period of political and social change in Armenia. He also co-produced the documentary film Tezeta, which highlights Armenian-Ethiopian musical ties. He made his fiction directorial debut with the film Kafka. Since 2015, Vahan Khachatryan has served as a coordinator for the Apricot Tree International Documentary FF (IDFF). Currently, he is working in the field of XR (Extended Reality) technologies, and his projects have been selected for numerous international festivals.
