The Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival held an open-air screening of the film "The Shining" by Stanley Kubrick at the RiverSide drive-in Cinema. The movie was screened on the occasion of its 40th anniversary. The film screening was held on the evening of July 20.

In this way, in a very short period, an attempt was made to preserve the beautiful tradition of the annual collective screening of the festival, which is unattainable these days. The participants came to the movie screening in their cars, from which they were watching the movie.

The artistic director of the Golden Apricot Karen Avetisyan states that it was a wonderful opportunity for people who miss cinema to try to show a film in some way, not online, but to ensure collective film viewing. "The only possible measure, considering the situation, was this. It should be noted that such screenings are a new phenomenon for Armenia,"-he said, emphasizing that despite the pandemic, the festival came up with both online and live initiatives in July.
