A dreamlike fairy tale unfolds in a surreal landscape populated by children, mythical figures, and symbolic characters. Godfrey Reggio (born 1940)
Godfrey Reggio, born in 1940, is one of the most influential figures in experimental cinema. Best known for the Qatsi Trilogy—Koyaanisqatsi, Powaqqatsi, and Naqoyqatsi—he creates largely wordless films that examine the relationship between humanity, technology, nature, and modern civilization. Throughout his career he has collaborated closely with composer Philip Glass, producing some of the most distinctive audiovisual works in contemporary cinema. Once within a Time marks his return to feature filmmaking after Visitors (2013).
