About 100 films will be screened within the framework of the 19th golden Apricot International Film Festival

The 19th Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival will take place on July 10-17 this year. This year, the International Film Festival will present to the public competitive films from different countries of the world, as well as films from the most prestigious film festivals.
During the first press conference before the festival, the organizing team presented the composition of the festival jury, the opening and closing films, the honorary guests, as well as other festival details.

In particular, about 100 films will be shown within the framework of the festival during various programs. Within the framework of the "Yerevan Premieres" program, films from Cannes, Berlin and other international film festivals will be presented to the Armenian audience.
Irish screenwriter, director Terry George will be president of the Golden Apricot 19th Yerevan IFF International Feature Film competition jury.
He was nominated for two Oscars: Best Writing, Screenplay Based on Material from Another Medium (1993; In the Name of the Father), and Best Writing, Original Screenplay (2004; Hotel Rwanda). In 2012, he received an Academy Award in the live action short film category for The Shore.

Famous works include The Boxer, Some Mother's Son, and In the Name of the Father, Hotel Rwanda, other movies. The jury of feature films includes Director of the Amsterdam Documentary Film Festival (IDFA) Orwa Nyarbia, Cameraman, Laureate of the Cannes Film Festival Vladislav Opelyants, Spanish Director, Laureate of the Grand Prix of the San Sebastian International Film Festival Isaki Lacuesta , director of the film Should the Wind Fall Nora Martirosyan.
A number of honored guests will arrive in Armenia to take part in the festival, in particular: Spanish film director, Locarno Film Festival Grand Prix winner, Cannes Film Festival Prize winner Albert Serra, Leading European Film Producer, winner of more than 35 festivals, Cannes Double Prize winner producer Philippe Bober, DAU multi-platform anthropological film project author Ilya Khrzhanovsky and others. 

The 19th Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival will kick off with "Amerikatsi" (American) by director Michael Goorjian. The official opening ceremony of the festival will take place on July 10 at Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall. 
The festival will close with Garin Hovhannisyan's film "Hidden Republic" again at Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall, this time on July 17.

The festival is held with the support of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports. Yerevan Municipality is the main sponsor of this year's festival.
