The closing of the 19th Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival will be announced with writer and filmmaker Garin Hovannisian’s feature documentary INVISIBLE REPUBLIC, which captures the 2020 Artsakh war through the diary of writer and photographer Lika Zakaryan. The official closing ceremony of the festival will take place on July 17 in the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall. This year, yet again, the international film festival will present to the public films for competition from different countries of the world, as well as films from the most prestigious film festivals. The producers behind the 2022 feature documentary are Eric Esrailian, Serj Tankian, Garin Hovannisian, and Alec Mouhibian. The associate producer is Anush Ter-Khachatryan. The writers are Lika Zakaryan and Garin Hovannisian.

The Director of Photography is Suren Tadevosyan. Music is by Van Sarkissian. Sound design is by Lucien Palmer, CAS. Edited by Michael T. Volmann. The cast includes Lika Zakaryan, Levon Arshakyan, Artak Beglaryan, and many others. When war besieges the unrecognized Republic of Artsakh (Karabakh), writer and photographer Lika takes cover in a bunker — and begins to write. Little does she know that her diary will become the definitive and multifaceted chronicle of the 44-day war for Artsakh. I Am Not Alone (2020), and Truth to Power (2021), and the author of the book Family of Shadows. The 19th Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival will take place on July 10-17 this year.
