Vrej Kassouny
Vrej Kassouny is an Armenian filmmaker, animation director, actor, painter, caricaturist, and digital artist, born in Aleppo, Syria, and based in Armenia.
He is the founder and Creative Director of reACT Production, an animation and film studio established in 2001. In 2008, he founded the ReAnimania International Animation Film & Comic Art Festival of Yerevan, now one of the region's leading animation events.
He studied fine arts in Aleppo, earned his painting degree from the P. Terlemezian Fine Art College in Yerevan, and completed animation direction training at the University of the West of England, Bristol.
His acting credits include the role of Shahin in Yeva, directed by Anahid Abad. Kassouny served as Armenia's representative to Eurimages (2016–2020) and was reappointed in June 2026.
He also served as Armenia's Ambassador to the European Animation Awards (2016–2023) and trained through EAVE, MFCB, and Titmouse Animation Studios in New York.
