In a conservative Armenian family 16-year-old Karine dreams to become a veterinarian, but her family, especially her father, who is a well-known dog-fighter, is against it. They think it’s not a proper job for a woman. Karine needs to choose: to follow her dreams or to listen to her patriarchal family.

Lilit Movsisyan
Lilit Movsisyan is a dynamic and emerging talent, graduated with honors from the Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinematography. Her first feature-length documentary, Fight, a collaborative Armenian-French production, has earned recognition on various platforms, including DocsBarcelona Public Pitch 2020 and Baltic Sea Docs. Fight premiered at the Cottbus IFF in 2024 and was selected at Artdocfest Riga IFF. Her short film Seagulls competed at GAIFF 2024. Movsisyan is a seasoned participant in industry events such as GAIFF Pro C2C Market, B2B Doc, EurasiaDoc workshops, EAVE on Demand, and Talents Sarajevo. Committed to sharing her experience, she teaches filmmaking at the Tumo Center for Creative Technologies.
