The main characters of this film are a husband and wife – Armenian actors living in the West. The film is based on a play directed by the two protagonists, which premiered in 1986 in Edinburg. Later, the play was presented in many countries. The film is about the journey of these people around the world with the play. Far away from their historic native land, they try to find their spiritual roots.

Harutyun Khachatryan
Born in Akhalkalaki (Georgia) in 1955. Graduated from the Film Department of Cultural Faculty of the Armenian State Pedagogical University in Yerevan, Armenia, in 1981. Since then, worked as an assistant director, cameraman and director at the Armenian Documentary Studio and later at Hayfilm Studio.  Since 1989 – director-producer at the Hayfilm Studio. Since 2004 – Founder and CEO and later Founding President of the Golden Apricot Yerevan IFF>  Since 2017 – Chairman of the Union of Film Professionals of  Armenia. Harutyun Khachatryan is a People’s Artist of the Republic of Armenia and voting member of the European Film Academy since 2006. His films won many prizes at many international film festivals such as “Molodist” IFF, Ukraine, 1987, Nyon International Documentary FF, 1989, “Message to Man”, St. Petersburg, 1993, Karlovy Vary IFF, Czech Republic, 2003, Arsenal IFF, Latvia, 2004, Rotterdam IFF, 2009, The Netherlands, WorldFest Houston, USA, 2009, Antalya IFF, 2009, Gijon IFF, Spain, 2009, Fribourg IFF, Switzerland, 2010, Torino IFF, Italy, 2014,and many others. In 2007, Khachatryan received the Prince Claus Fund Award (The Netherlands), in 2008, he awarded with “Movses Khorenatsi” Medal (Armenia’s highest cultural award) by the Armenian Government. In 2008 Harutyun Khacatryan awarded with Chevalier de L’ordre des Arts et de Lettres by the Ministry of Culture and Communications of the French Republic
