On September 27, 2020, with open support from the Republic of Turkey and the Russian Federation, Azerbaijani forces launched a large-scale military offensive against the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region). Thousands of citizens of the Republic of Armenia volunteered to defend the right of 150,000 residents of the Republic of Artsakh to live in their Armenian homeland. This film was created following the ceasefire agreement of November 9, 2020, documenting the defense of a newly established section of the Armenian state border during two shifts by a volunteer platoon.

Gagik Ghazareh
Born in 1973, in the village of Vardenik, Armenia. In the 1980s, his family moved to Yerevan. From 1990 to 1995 he studied at the Armenian Pedagogical Institute, Faculty of Culture, and got the qualifications in Feature Film Directing. He spent his teenage and young years in post-Soviet Independent Armenia during the long transitional years of crisis following the destruction of the Soviet Empire. Perhaps that is the reason why the focus on the humanitarian issues in Armenia runs like a red thread through his works. His works are marked by very distinct voicing of human rights, and deep rebellion against violence and political violence in particular. He participated in numerous local and international platforms with his films, performances, and video art, and received awards. He is known as an advocate of innovation; his works are marked by bold experimentation and strive for documentary reliability. In 2003, he founded “One Shot” International Short FF. In 2006, he founded the “One Square Meter” Theater Festival. In 2001 and  2007, he was in Venice International Modern Art Biennale, as the Assistant Curator for the Armenian National Pavilion. In 2019, Gagik Ghazzareh founded the “Open Platform For Art” NGO where he is currently bringing to life his art projects.
