In a village in the Argentinian countryside, the inhabitants lead a life characterised by nature and routine. When a light appears to the elderly farmer Omar one night, he sets off with his grandson Noah on a journey in search of meaning. In a holiday villa whose owners are never there, the two housekeepers Rosana and Lily make a strange discovery, as magic and reality intertwine.

Agostina Di Luciano
Agostina Di Luciano was born 1998 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since 2022, studying theater pedagogy at the ZHdK (Zurich University of the Arts). Is part of the theater collective bOdyssey, which aims at the exchange and collaboration of people from different cultures. She lives and works in Zurich and Buenos Aires.The World Upside Down is her first film.

Leon Schwitter
Leon Schwitter was born 1994 in Lenzburg, Switzerland. 2016-2021 Bachelor Film at the ZHdK (Zurich University of the Arts) with a focus on screenwriting. In 2018, he founded the production company EXIT Filmkollektiv with other filmmakers, where he works as a director and producer. His short film So Far, So Good premiered at various international film festivals and was broadcast on ARTE, SRF and ARD, among others. His first feature film Retreat was shown at numerous festivals worldwide, including Mar del Plata, Thessaloniki, Seattle and Locarno, and won the First Look Award (Locarno 2021), the Golden Alexander (Thessaloniki 2022) and a FIPRESCI Prize (Schwerin 2023). He lives and works in Zurich.
